From the Pros
I started with ASP from the age of 15 – Nico Killas (ASP Pro Athletes)
A short note to let you know about my progress since we last spoke. As you know, since you have been involved with me on an on-going basis, after the Engen cup where I received “Defender of the Tournament” I signed a pro contract with Bid Boys where I played for two seasons. Subsequent to that I played for Atromitos Football Club in Cyprus then came back to South Africa and spent one season with Mpumalanga Black Aces in the PSL. I am now back in Cyprus with Atromitos Football Club.
The good news is that I have just received my third international cap playing for the Cyprus under 21 National Team. The three caps were awarded to me in the games against Bosnia, Germany and San Marino.
Finally I would like to say a big thank you to ASP and its staff for assisting me with my speed, strength and agility which has ultimately helped me get where I am today.

I HAVE ONE REGRET…”Kevin Mudie Ex Pro
That ASP were not around when I was playing”
I would like to say thank you to Sean and Luke for bringing ASP to RAFC. I have seen the difference in a number of junior players and a major difference in our senior players, with regards to fitness, speed and sharpness. The entire program that ASP gives and stands for, is really up there amongst the best this country has to offer in terms of Sports Science.
ASP have assisted in taking RAFC to a complete new level of professionalism in their approach to football and their overall wellness. I can speak about what you have done for RAFC as I am an ex professional footballer and know what it takes to get to the top. I have only one regret and that is that ASP were not around when I was playing.
However, we at RAFC are very excited about the future with ASP not only for what it does for the players but your entire professional approach to detail on individuals and groups.
We at RAFC hope that we continue to have a long and healthy relationship with ASP and ensure we at RAFC go from strength to strength – Kevin Mudie, Ex Pro
ASP’s involvement at the 3 training camps leading up to the (Commonwealth) Games was critical to our success – Coach Patrick Fick – 2006 National Coach
“On behalf of Basketball South Africa, I would like to congratulate Sean Van Staden on his comprehensive contribution to the recent performance of the SA Men’s National Team at the 2006 Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne Australia.
ASP’s involvement at the 3 training camps leading up to the Games was critical to our success. He interacts very well with the players, and they embraced his strength training programmes, and his warm-up and stretching exercises helped ensure no serious injuries were experienced, despite the intensity of our practice sessions.
Sean’s guidance regarding recovery and his fitness and mental testing gave our coaches valuable insight into our athletes’ physical and mental preparedness leading up to this competition.
As Head Coach, I strongly recommend other sporting codes adopt his input and contribution on a regular basis.”
Advanced Sports Performance has taken our pro athletes and helped them, through their unique, structured training regimes and vigorous hands on approach to high performance training, to be stronger than ever.

A world class training service from ASP – PSL Black Aces
The Mpumalanga Black Aces Football Club is proud to be associated with Advanced Sports Performance during our Premier Football League Season. ASP services have been a vital part in the hasty recovery of some of our most crucial players over the past few months, getting them back up to match fitness in record time. We thanks ASP for their cutting edge Fitness and Conditioning during our season and our boys definitely benefited from your experience and world class professionalism.
Advanced Sports Performance has taken our athletes and helped them, through their unique, structured training regimes and vigorous hands on approach to high performance training, to be stronger than ever. I would recommend Sean and his Team to any athlete, coach or club, looking to take their performance to another level.

ASP’s elite training is right up there with the Springbok training & in some aspects even better…
I have been a professional rugby player for some years now and keeping on top of my game isn’t always the easiest thing to do. I have been unlucky in the past, suffering from multiple injuries and missing out on a lot of opportunities as a result of that. I came to ASP for some off season training to prepare for my move to Wales and in just a few months they got me fighting and ready to take on anything the Welsh had to throw at me.
Advanced Sports Performance’s elite training is right up there with the best and in some aspects it’s even higher because the attention to detail, addressing my individual needs, was amazing. Training in a team environment doesn’t allow you to really get involved with the things that you, as an individual, need to work on and they allowed me to do just that.

I believe in ASP Sports Science training system
For a player to develop to his full potential, all factors of performance need to be addressed. It is impossible to expect one coach to fully develop a player in every area.
What differentiates players? What makes one player better than another? The answer is simple, Factors of Performance!
There are various factors that influence the performance of a player, tactical awareness, technical ability, mental astuteness and physiological development (Endurance, Speed, Strength etc.), besides other social factors.
Amateur coaches have very limited time with their players; the majority of this time is used to improve the player’s technical ability. For a player to develop to his full potential, all factors of performance need to be addressed. It is impossible to expect one coach to fully develop a player in every area. This is where ASP plays a major role; they are experts in their field and can identify and rectify weaknesses in a player’s Physiological development.
In my experience with Sean Van Staden, I have seen young players develop, not only from a physiological point of view, but holistically as footballers. A player who feels physically good will be able to execute technical moves easier, be able to concentrate for longer, will be more confident, have a good self-esteem and become an overall better player. Having this physiological advantage gives players the edge over their opponents.
I highly recommend ASP to all aspiring footballers and fully endorse their program.
Yours Faithfully
